Fashion is a constantly evolving sector, listens to the needs of the end consumer and creates an increasingly competitive market, based on the detail that really makes a difference.

From the 1970s to today, it has begun continuous innovative changes influencing the global economy and making itself decisive in conditioning sectors like that of integrated logistics, which we could define, one of the central and leading columns of this dynamic and never rising business.

In this context, making a winning strategic choice means betting on the right partner for all that concerns the extra production activity. But what is the best option today for a fashion company with a global perspective?

According to Movimoda, the answer is in the verticalization, i.e. in the choice of a partner that can boast the structural strength to offer the management, control and interna l guarantee on all processes, that is therefore able to follow the entire supply chain, taking care of every type of service required by the line, quality control, reconditioning, logistical management: both for raw materials and for finished products

In this "total" approach to the management of flows, the customer is confronted, in addition to a saving in economic terms, with a unique facilitation: the possibility to concentrate on production by abandoning the part of logistics and warehouse but having nevertheless the guarantee that every product is monitored and taken into custody.

As Movimoda, strong in our experience, we have identified five elements that can make a difference today:

1 Design analysis

The solutions proposed must always be custom made, taking into account that each brand is unique and has specific needs. Each project must be able to start from an accurate analysis of the current configuration and supply chain to be developed. Operational and logistical flows require careful monitoring from the very beginning, which is why the presence of a competent and smart Engineering Department is essential.

2 Information systems

In order to optimise the timing and as indicated in point 1, a distinctive advantage is certainly given by the use of adaptive WMS-based computer systems.

An example? MM.net our own WMS capable of interfacing our plants globally with customer management systems (over 200), their suppliers and the same couriers, for all the services we are required, from raw materials to the finished head.

Location: Finland

Reaching your customer where necessary represents an added value and without comparisons. Based on shared parameters with the customer, the most suitable solution should be sought and identified. The borders? They must not exist. The world? An opportunity.

4 dedicated working group

Creating an ad hoc staff for each project means offering an optimal service where each resource with specific skills contributes to defining a plan and carrying it out, achieving performances that will have to be tangible and constantly measurable.

5 Safety

Every customer you outsource must receive security in return, a type of security that extends to every aspect of the managed flows. Latest-generation plants for internal security of warehouses, production process control and verification systems.

From entry to exit of the goods, from data flow to cross-checks: everything must be monitored and verified. As far as resources are concerned, it is pointless to stress how they must be guaranteed a working environment in which to operate safely and calmly.

In conclusion, once these advantages have been consolidated, it is important to say that the fashion sector cannot stand still: a logistical vision, within this context, works only if it is able to anticipate the times and expand its services even before the market itself requires it.

And do you agree?
